Nandurbar News: Dr. Kane Girls High School Celebrates Marathi Language Day with Cultural Competitions

Nandurbar, Maharashtra – Dr. Kane Girls High School, managed by the Nandurbar Education Society, marked Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din (Marathi Language Day) on Tuesday with a series of literary and cultural competitions aimed at fostering linguistic pride among students. The event, attended by education officials and school faculty, highlighted poetry recitations, essay writing, elocution, and traditional song performances.

Over 200 students from grades 5 to 9 participated, with winners like Vaishnavi Badgujar (spelling bee) and Ayushi Padvi (folk singing) receiving awards. Milind Chavan, the event’s chief guest, emphasized the importance of preserving regional languages in Maharashtra’s multicultural landscape. “Marathi is not just a language; it’s a bridge to our heritage,” said Principal Seema Modak.(Nandurbar News)
