Nandurbar Maintains Steady Girl Birth Ratio for Five Year

Nandurbar, January 14, 2025: The district of Nandurbar in Maharashtra has achieved a remarkable milestone by maintaining a steady girl child birth ratio of 1,017 girls per 1,000 boys for the past five years (2019–2024). This consistent progress has earned the district recognition as a leader in promoting gender equality in the state.

Despite challenges like malnutrition and maternal and infant mortality, Nandurbar has remained focused on addressing these issues while celebrating the birth of girl children. Citizens, particularly in rural areas, have actively embraced initiatives to ensure a welcoming environment for daughters.
