Nandurbar Incident: Case Registered Against Two Unknown Assailants

Nandurbar: In a shocking incident, two individuals on a motorcycle snatched a gold chain worth ₹1.95 lakh from a woman in broad daylight in the Shantinagar area of Nandurbar city. Following the incident, the Nandurbar City Police have registered a case of robbery.

According to police sources, the victim, identified as Tarabai Kisan Mali, a resident of Lalbagh Colony, Nandurbar, was walking through the Shantinagar area when the crime occurred. Two unidentified individuals approached her from behind on a motorcycle and forcefully snatched the gold chain from her neck before fleeing the scene. The incident happened so swiftly that the victim couldn’t react immediately. She raised an alarm, but by then, the assailants had escaped via the main road.

The stolen chain weighs approximately 23.770 grams and is valued at ₹1.95 lakh, as stated in the complaint filed by Tarabai Mali. Acting on her report, the Nandurbar City Police have lodged a case of robbery and initiated an investigation under the supervision of Police Sub-Inspector Vikas Gunjal.

Meanwhile, the police have examined CCTV footage from cameras installed in the vicinity to trace the culprits. However, no significant leads have emerged so far, according to the investigating officers.

The incident has raised concerns about public safety in the area, prompting calls for increased police vigilance and patrolling in the city.
