Nandurbar: Case registered against 13 people for using deadly nylon manja despite ban

Nandurbar News: Police have registered a case against 13 people from Nandurbar and Navapur for using banned nylon manja during Makar Sankranti because we know that the manja is deadly but it is being used.

Due to this, 7-year-old Kartik Gorve died by slitting his throat due to using nylon manja. During the action, the authorities seized metal spools and nylon manja from the accused.

The people booked are residents of areas like Kumbharwada, Mahalaxmi Nagar, Shastri Nagar, and Bhagwatwadi. The police have filed charges against them under sections 110, 223, and 293 of the IPC as well as the Environment Protection Act, of 1986.

This decisive step has been taken to curb the dangerous use of nylon manja, which is being used despite the government’s ban.
