Nandurbar: The Bhaler MIDC (Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation) near Nandurbar city is poised for significant industrial expansion as the district administration ramps up efforts to provide essential infrastructure such as roads, water, and electricity. District Collector Dr. Mitali Sethi recently visited the site and highlighted the urgency of completing the development of basic facilities to attract industries to the area.
A Step Forward for Industrial Progress
Dr. Sethi expressed optimism about the project’s potential, stating, “The industrial estate in Bhaler will create new employment opportunities and accelerate the industrial progress of Nandurbar.”
The Bhaler MIDC initiative has faced significant delays for years, primarily due to resource constraints. Although land for the project was allocated over a decade ago, progress was hindered by a lack of funds to complete essential tasks like land leveling, establishing water supply, and providing electricity. However, phased funding in recent years has allowed for incremental development.
Dr. Sethi’s Site Inspection
During her recent site inspection, Dr. Sethi emphasized the need to fast-track water supply arrangements for the estate to ensure that industries have access to this vital resource. She assured that once fully developed, the Bhaler MIDC would serve as a key catalyst for the district’s economic development, offering a favorable environment for industries to thrive.
The Path Ahead
With the district administration’s renewed focus and commitment, Bhaler MIDC is expected to become a major industrial hub in the region, offering employment opportunities and economic benefits. The project is seen as crucial for boosting the overall industrial landscape in Nandurbar and driving regional growth.
