Indian women’s cricket team records historic 304-run win over Ireland

The Indian women’s cricket team recorded a historic 304-run win over Ireland in the third ODI in Rajkot, completing a clean sweep of the three-match series.

Openers Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal helped India post the highest total in ODI history of 435. Rawal scored her maiden international century with 154 off 129 balls, while skipper Mandhana scored a quickfire 135 off just 80 balls. Wicketkeeper-batsman Richa Ghosh, who was at number three, added 59.

India’s star spinner Deepti Sharma later took over the bowling and bowled out Ireland for 131, taking 3 wickets to secure India’s biggest ODI win. The previous record was set in 2017 when they won by 249 runs against Ireland.

India’s all-round performance earned them a historic whitewash, showcasing their depth in both batting and bowling.
