Taloda: War-Footing Efforts for PM Awas Yojana Registration

Taloda: The registration process for beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is being carried out on a war footing across Taloda taluka. Nandurbar District CEO Sawan Kumar recently visited the Taloda Panchayat Samiti to review the progress.

The Maharashtra government has prioritized the implementation of PMAY, mandating 100% registration of targeted beneficiaries by the end of this week. With only 30% of registration completed so far, officials are racing against time to meet the remaining 70%.

Taloda Panchayat Samiti has set up 25 computer terminals, where teams are working from early morning until late at night to process beneficiary documents, verify Aadhaar details, and update bank accounts on the portal. The administration has suspended other office operations to prioritize this task.

Group Development Officer Janardan Pawar has been personally supervising the work, ensuring employees work extended hours to meet the deadline. The district CEO commended the efforts during his visit and instructed officials to complete the work within the stipulated timeframe.

The urgency reflects the administration’s commitment to fulfilling the scheme’s objectives, promising housing benefits to eligible families in the region.
